Classic Symmetry and Modern LED Illumination

Located in Richmond’s historic Fan District, this project exemplifies custom cabinetry designed to enhance classic architecture. Two stately, floor-to-ceiling bookcases create a perfectly symmetrical frame around a wide central doorway, establishing an elegant and timeless focal point. The design thoughtfully balances lower cabinets for concealed storage with expansive open shelving for books and cherished objects. 

The classic white finish and simple Shaker-style doors are elevated by substantial crown and base molding, which have been meticulously integrated with the home's original millwork for a seamless look. A standout feature is the sophisticated, built-in LED lighting. Vertical light strips, cleverly concealed within the face frames, cast a warm, even glow that beautifully illuminates the collections on each shelf, adding a layer of modern luxury.
